In January 2025, Komar’s Star Garment Group will expand its global footprint by opening a new manufacturing facility in Togo. This strategic addition is set to produce and export millions of garments annually to our Savannah, Georgia distribution center and other key destinations significantly enhancing our global supply chain capabilities.
With the inclusion of our Togo facility, Star Garment now operates 10 factories in Sri Lanka and one in West Africa. Our team of 9,000 dedicated employees enables us to exceed production capacities of 1.6 million pieces monthly, reaffirming our commitment to quality and innovation in the apparel industry.
Star Garment Group manufactures within 40 different product categories for prestigious fashion brands in the US, UK, and Europe, leveraging decades of technical expertise and extensive experience.
As the leading digital studio in Sri Lanka, Star Garment produces 600 high-quality digital renderings each month using advanced platforms like Clo and Browzwear, driving forward our virtual product development capabilities.
Our commitment to eco-friendly practices is demonstrated through eight LEED-certified facilities and the distinction of being the world’s first carbon-neutral apparel manufacturing conglomerate. Our efforts include operating South Asia’s first Passive House, underscoring our dedication to minimizing environmental impact.
The newly established $25 million facility in Togo, ideally situated near the Port of Lomé, is set to generate 2,000 jobs and offers considerable logistical benefits. A direct shipping route to Savannah, Georgia, provides efficient transit times and strategic advantages, bypassing the need for the Suez or Panama canals.
The elimination of apparel import duties in key markets such as the US, Canada, EU, UK, and Australia has enhanced the attractiveness of manufacturing in Togo, facilitating growth and dramatically reducing costs.

This state-of-the-art facility supports a wide range of logistics needs, from ecommerce fulfillment to inland transportation.
